Onboarding
From Signing Up to understanding the process of adding budgets and managing categories, you can find it all.
How do I complete onboarding after signing up?
You can access the Humane app from https://app.humanecare.com.au/signup. After signing up, you will be taken to a 3-step onboarding process. Before starting onboarding, you will need access to your NDIS plan, and to your NDIS myplace portal or to a spreadsheet (i.e. wherever you store your past sessions and spending if any). The onboarding process should take around 10-15 mins. Step 1 For the Step 1 of onboarding as shown below, enter the participan

How do I fill the 'Estimated Past Spending' section during final step of onboarding?
Let's say your NDIS plan starts on 1st May but you joined the Humane app on 1st October. No problem! For all the charts and future spending to display properly, the app needs to know how much money you have already spent between 1st May and 1st October before joining the platform. We ask you this in the final step of onboarding as shown below. Step 3 of onboarding There are two w

Categories in my NDIS plan do not exactly match categories in the Humane app?
Simple steps to take if the categories mentioned in your plan differ from the app. Updated on October 19, 2020 The funding for NDIS category 'Core' can often be freely spent between the subcategories like "Assistance with Daily Life", "Assistance with Social and Community Participation" or more. What budget categories should I be planning and tracking on Humane from my plan?
You can find all the budget categories that you have funding available for in your NDIS plan. There you can also find information about whether your funds are self, plan or agency managed. Primarily, Humane is currently meant to be used for self-managed budget categories in your plan. But we currently have multiple families managing plan-managed budget categories on the platform too as they like to be able to plan those categories and keep all the information in one place, in their control.

During onboarding, some budget categories look different than what is there on NDIS portal or plan. How do I fill them?
The NDIS categories have separate names in your official NDIS plan, and in the myplace portal. We use the name used in the official NDIS plan but if you're referring to the myplace portal, this can become confusing. Refer to the mapping below to learn the different names for both the categories. What's on the left represents the name in your plan, and on the right represents name in myplace portal. Some categories like Transport or Improved life choice do not need much planning. It is up to you to decide whether you want to add them to Humane or not. For more details on what categories to add to Humane, you can refer to this article.

Core has no subcategories in my plan but does on Humane. How do I fill it during onboarding?
In your NDIS plan, Core plan would have a total budget assigned and one for transport if you have funding for it, but no subcategories. E.g. Core funding $40k, transport funding $2k and Total Core funding $42k. But Humane requires you to divide your Core funding (not including transport) across the three subcategories of core i.e. Assistance with Daily Life (Daily Living) Consumables Assistance with Social & Community Participation (Social, community and civic participation) This is

Some budget categories in my NDIS plan are plan-managed or agency managed. Should I still add them during onboarding?
Primarily, Humane is currently meant to be used for self-managed budget categories in your plan. But we currently have multiple families managing plan-managed budget categories on the platform too as they like to be able to plan those categories and keep all the information in one place, in their control.
